Job summary

The American Red Cross in Portland, ME is seeking a General Maintenance and Fleet Tech II to maintain and repair facilities, manage a fleet of vehicles, and support safety and reliability across three sites. The role includes on-call duties and a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule with a 40-hour workweek.

Qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and basic computer use.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and properties; patch holes, paint, and address electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural issues.
• Move and store furniture and equipment as needed.
• Estimate time and material costs; requisition supplies and equipment.
