Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Management professional to build and maintain driver relationships and ensure driver needs are met across home time, payroll, and equipment support.

You will partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and driver availability. In this role you will align with customer dynamics and Werner's service goals, collaborating with billing, safety, payroll, and maintenance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business/transportation or logistics preferred.
• 2–3 years fleet management or transportation experience preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet home time, payroll and equipment needs.
• Partner with logistics managers to optimize driver loads based on freight and miles.
• Understand customer dynamics and improve value for Customer and Werner.
• Interface with billing, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with managers to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform related duties and maintain timely attendance.
