Job summary

Werner Enterprises seeks a Fleet Management professional to build and maintain strong driver relationships by understanding home time, payroll, equipment issues and other needs, using our systems and driver communications.

In this role you will partner with the Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize loads, align with customer expectations, and coordinate with billing, safety, payroll, and maintenance to keep a full board of drivers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• Six months to one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and computer/ Satellite comms skills required.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships and address home time, payroll, equipment issues and other needs using our systems and driver communications.
• Partner with Dedicated and Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads based on origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops, and driver availability.
• Understand and support customer dynamics, service expectations, goals and Werner's value delivery.
• Interface with departments such as billing, vans, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance and external vendors.
• Work with the Dedicated Logistics Manager or Operations Manager to maintain a full board of drivers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dedicated Logistics Manager.
• Maintain timely and regular attendance according to scheduled shift.
