Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to help manage the day-to-day logistics of our fleet operations. You will coordinate events, verify authorizations, and assign the nearest service provider to ensure repairs are completed promptly.

You will communicate ETAs to customers, inform supervisors of delays, and address inquiries as they arise in a 24/7/365 environment. High school diploma and 3 years dispatching experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (Dispatching for breakdown and/or tire, medium to heavy duty vehicle maintenance).
• Strong knowledge of dispatching and multitasking.
• A related advanced degree or certification (Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Technology) or 5 years of dispatching experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the logistics of fleet operations to ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
• Assess and assign open events.
• Verify proper authorization to dispatch the event.
• Assign the nearest service provider to perform repairs.
• Inform customer of ETA and follow their requirements.
• Update supervisor on delays or issues with repairs.
• Address problems and customer inquiries as they arise.
