Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to oversee fleet operations, ensuring timely dispatch of the nearest service provider for repairs. You will coordinate events, verify authorizations, and communicate ETA to customers in a 24/7/365 environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with dispatching experience and strong multitasking abilities. Training schedules and shift variations reflect a 24/7 operational model.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years dispatching experience in breakdowns or tire service.
• Dispatching for medium to heavy duty vehicle maintenance and related services.
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assign all open events.
• Verify proper authorization to dispatch the event.
• Assign the nearest service provider to perform requested repairs.
• Advise the customer of ETA and handle requirements accordingly.
• Inform supervisor on duty of delays or issues with ETA or repairs.
• Address problems and customer inquiries as they arise.
