Job summary

NFI is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the Dedicated Fleet operations and assist the Project Manager across a range of logistics tasks in Kansas City. The role emphasizes driver relations, dispatch, and accurate data entry.

You will coordinate load planning, scheduling, and maintenance while ensuring timely invoicing and KPI reporting. Strong communication, multitasking, and problem solving are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics and/or transportation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and TMW is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers.
• Communicates service issues to appropriate internal and external contacts.
• Performs load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties.
• Enters data into NFI’s order-management system (TMW).
• Coordinates with invoicing to ensure timely customer invoices.
• Ensures timely completion of daily and weekly tasks.
• Provides weekly KPI reports to internal and external parties.
• Coordinates daily scheduling for truck and trailer maintenance.
• Works with safety on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues.
• Supports Project Manager with safety, security and labor policies.
• Coverage across departments during vacations or holidays as needed.
• Manages and maintains driver payroll and expenses.
• Audits and approves driver expense reports.
• Provides assistance to Project Manager wherever needed.
