Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in New York to coordinate the dedicated fleet, maximize driver and equipment utilization, and oversee dispatch operations and related reporting to customers and management.

This role leads staff including coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers; manages scheduling, safety, and timekeeping while driving process improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Experience with TMW and PeopleNet preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and use good judgment under stress.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and willingness to certify.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day supervision to coordinators, clerks, spotters, and drivers.
• Manages driver scheduling and payroll data.
• Coordinates load completions and data entry into TMW.
• Coordinates with managers on invoicing and reconciles carrier invoices.
• Ensures optimal equipment utilization and maintenance coordination.
• Drafts daily end-of-shift reports and recommends efficiency initiatives.
• Maintains accurate timekeeping records and reports.
