Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Breakdown Coordinator to manage fleet event dispatch and service-provider assignments. You will coordinate logistics, verify authorizations, and communicate ETA while ensuring 24/7/365 coverage for fleet maintenance.

The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, dispatch expertise, and multitasking to keep repairs timely and customers informed across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in dispatching for breakdown and/or tire, medium to heavy duty vehicle maintenance.
• Different qualifying combos allowed: advanced degree/certification in a related discipline or 5 years of related dispatching.
• Strong knowledge of dispatching and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assign all open events.
• Verify proper authorization has been obtained to dispatch the event.
• Assign the appropriate and nearest service provider to make requested repairs.
• Advise the customer of the estimated time of arrival and follow instructions.
• Inform supervisor on duty of delays or problems with repairs.
• Address problems and customer inquiries as they arise.
