Job summary

Excel Fitness in Bristol, VA seeks a capable Club Operations Team Player to support the General Manager and Assistant Manager. You will train staff, supervise a small team, and ensure exceptional member service and club standards.

The role requires CPR/AED certification, strong communication, and ability to lead. You will help manage daily inspections, inventories, and event representations, with diverse shifts and hands-on responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED certification required; uncertified team players will be trained within 30 days of employment.
• Must be able to lead, motivate, develop, and supervise others.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Familiar with Excel mission, values, and Planet Fitness brand.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM and AM in implementing member attraction/retention strategies based on Excel Core Values.
• Train new Team Players and serve as a resource for questions and training on operations.
• Use Team Performance Tracker to meet company metric expectations.
• Supervise and inspire Team Players to perform at their best.
• Maintain high levels of member service, cleanliness, and club atmosphere.
• Identify training needs and report findings to management.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure club is presentable and up to Excel Standards.
• Ensure adherence to policies; address infractions and report major issues.
• Perform daily club inspections and assign/verify tasks.
• Hold Team Players accountable, audit daily paperwork, and help resolve issues.
• Audit club inventory and communicate with GM/AM about orders.
• May oversee operations when GM/AM are unavailable.
• Stay proficient with PFHQ and Excel platforms.
• Assist GM and represent Excel at community events.
