Job summary

Excel Fitness in Suffolk, VA seeks an operations leader to support the GM in planning strategies to attract and retain members and maintain a positive culture. You will supervise up to 20 Team Players, manage hiring and onboarding, and ensure up-to-date certifications.

You will train staff, monitor KPIs, and help maintain a clean, high-energy club with exceptional member service. Flexibility in schedule is required, including potential weekends and peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED certification required; training provided within 30 days if not certified.
• Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop, and supervise others.
• Familiar with Excel mission, values, culture, and brand.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in planning strategies to attract and retain members and uphold Excel Core Values.
• Oversee hiring process from candidate selection to onboarding documentation.
• Train and develop new team members and ensure certifications/training are up to date.
• Supervise up to 20 Team Players and coach staff to meet company standards and metrics.
• Monitor KPI goals and ensure a clean facility with world-class member service.
• Assist with payroll items, scheduling, and inventory/orders as needed.
• Represent the company at community events and lead regular team meetings.
