U.S. Pipe and Foundry is hiring a 1st Shift Production Supervisor in Bessemer, AL. You will lead hourly staff to hit daily goals while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The role requires guiding workforce development, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and partnering with maintenance to optimize equipment and processes. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in heavy manufacturing or construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing-related field preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct hourly production employees to meet daily targets with a focus on safety and quality.
• Oversee daily operations, monitor workflows, solve problems, and drive process improvements.
• Provide hands-on mechanical support and maintenance with maintenance teams to optimize equipment.
• Champion safety programs, conduct safety audits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to meet KPIs and quality standards.
