Job summary

McWane Plant & Industrial in Calera, AL is seeking a 1st shift Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations across machining, fabrication, assembly, and valve production. You will guide hourly workers, uphold safety, and drive on-time delivery with a focus on quality and cost efficiency.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and requires 5–7 years in manufacturing with 2–5 years of supervisory experience, plus strong ERP and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred.
• 5-7 years manufacturing experience in machining, fabrication, assembly, or industrial production operations.
• 2-5 years frontline supervisory experience leading hourly manufacturing employees.
• Experience supervising teams of 15-30 employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with engineered products, machining operations, fabrication, valve manufacturing, or large industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Direct daily activities of machining, fabrication, assembly, and production.
• Ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Develop leads, trainers, and future supervisory talent.
• Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives and standard work.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
