Job summary

Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc. is seeking a First Shift on-site Warehouse Lead in Birmingham, AL. You will supervise Pipe Yard Associates, verify product quantities and labeling, and coordinate loading and shipping of orders.

Responsibilities include accurate order pulling, staging, and safe pallet management, with cross-training and timely shipping paperwork. Must pass drug/background checks and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; 4+ year of warehouse or forklift experience preferred.
• Lead or Supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pipe Yard Associates team, verify quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing for shipment.
• Oversee pulling and verification of orders for shipment from warehouse inventory and inter-company orders.
• Lead staging and preparation of orders for shipment, ensure neat packaging and proper loading onto trucks.
• Ensure pallets and materials are organized safely and all material is staged properly.
• Complete shipping paperwork promptly and notify sales of shortages.
• Cross-train teammates from other departments and audit packed items against orders.
