Job summary

U.S. Pipe in Bessemer, AL is seeking 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians to keep plant equipment running and perform preventive maintenance. You will troubleshoot, repair, fabricate, weld, and read drawings to support manufacturing operations.

Proficiency with CMMS and safe, efficient work practices is required. The role involves interpreting blueprints, installing pipe joints, and performing routine maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. with 3+ years as an industrial millwright or maintenance tech.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions and participate in repairs, installation and inspection tasks.
• Inspect equipment for defects and perform preventive maintenance.
• Dismantle, repair, replace, install, maintain, and calibrate plant machinery.
• Fabricate and weld for projects and routine maintenance.
• Interpret blueprints and install various pipe joints and fittings.
• Test and service piping systems for leaks and proper operation.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and use CMMS for work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform other duties as assigned.
