Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to sell our fire, life safety, and security products to new and existing clients. The role emphasizes building relationships, identifying leads, and presenting solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include prospecting, product demonstrations, post-sale support, and accurate forecasting. The position requires travel and strong sales acumen to drive growth within a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field or 5+ years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network to identify new sales leads.
• Identifies customer needs and suggests products or services.
• Demonstrates product functions and utility based on customer needs.
• Maintains customer relationships and resolves post-sale issues.
• Maintains communication about new products, services, and enhancements.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities and forecasts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
