Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled field technician to diagnose, repair, and install Fire & Life Safety systems across customer sites in Cranberry Township and surrounding areas.

You will handle on-site service calls, read blueprints, and ensure safety and quality in every task. The role requires 5+ years in low voltage systems, NICET II preferred, ability to lift 50–70 lbs, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging.
• NICET II certification preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment and commissioning devices.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor lifting 50-70 lbs and climbing ladders.
• Flexible hours with possible overnight travel.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and determine issues.
• Diagnose problems and repair fire alarm systems and related building systems on customer sites.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures using manuals and bulletins to repair equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot and install Fire & Life Safety systems from various manufacturers.
• Read blueprints, submittals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and obtain customer signatures.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours work as needed.
• Provide guidance and training to other service team members.
• Provide quotes and solutions to improve facility efficiency.
