Job summary

DFC is seeking a motivated sales professional to plan and carry out activities on assigned accounts in the Fire and EMT space. You will develop relationships with decision-makers, provide product and service solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction as part of a commission-based, 1099 role.

Previous firefighting or EMS experience is highly recommended to leverage product knowledge and serve as a trusted resource for departments in your territory.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire service equipment or EMS is preferred.
• Solid customer service knowledge and business acumen.
• Ability to plan and execute sales strategies in the field.

Responsibilities

• prepare sales action plans and strategies
• schedule sales activity
• make sales calls to new and existing customers
• develop and make presentations of company products and services to current and potential clients
• negotiate with clients
• develop sales proposals
• respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
• ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
• follow up on sales activity
• monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
• participate in sales events and training
