Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to diagnose, repair, and install fire alarm, security, and life safety systems at customer sites in the Rocky Hill area.

The role requires interpreting blueprints and working with various building systems while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Candidates should have 3+ years of relevant experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• A good working knowledge of computers is necessary.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs; climb ladders, etc.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and document issues.
• Diagnose problems and repair on Fire & Life Safety systems at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service and complete service documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor others on the team.
