Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Life Safety Systems Sales Representative, FIRE Electronic, to promote and sell Fire Safety/Fire Alarm Systems to contractor customers and end users within an assigned territory. You will establish contact with prospects, qualify opportunities, and drive sales growth through proposals and presentations.

Qualifications

• Two years of successful sales experience in Electronic Systems or similar
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred or equivalent work experience
• Ability to identify and qualify opportunities quickly
• Excellent oral and written communication and sales techniques
• Licenses required by national, state and local codes or able to acquire them

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with prospects, qualify buyers, schedule calls, and follow up on leads
• Develop a sales strategy to demonstrate product offerings and determine opportunities
• Conduct seminars and demonstrations to generate leads
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and follow-up for closing
• Interface with district operations to improve service delivery
• Achieve a defined sales quota
• Maintain and grow established accounts with regular contact
• Provide progress reports and metrics to teams weekly and monthly
• Participate in trade shows and events to grow sales and brand image
