Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Life Safety Systems Representative to promote and sell Fire Safety Systems in an assigned territory. You will establish contact with prospects, qualify buyers, schedule calls, and drive opportunities through the sales cycle.

The role requires at least 3 years of sales experience in electronics or a related field, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, and a competitive incentive plan is

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in marketing, business, or engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years successful sales experience in Electronic or similar industry.
• Highly motivated and success driven.
• Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities.
• High degree of self-discipline.
• Experience working with electrical contractors, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable.
• Computer experience (Microsoft and Oracle programs preferred.)
• Good oral and written communication skills and sales techniques.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Fire Safety Systems to customers within an assigned territory.
• Establish contact with prospects, qualify buyers, schedule calls, and follow leads.
• Develop sales strategies, qualify opportunities, and maintain territory records.
• Conduct seminars and demonstrations to generate leads.
• Prepare proposals, make presentations, and follow up to close sales.
• Interface with district operations to deliver and improve service.
• Deliver sales against an assigned quota and maintain accounts.
• Report progress and supply metrics weekly and monthly.
• Participate in trade shows and events to increase sales and brand image.
