Job summary

Amentum seeks a Biometric Technician to support USCIS Application Support Center operations in Milwaukee, WI. This on-call casual position focuses on biometrics registration, fingerprints, photos, and ensuring security and flow at the ASC.

As a member of the team, you may work five days a week when needed, with shifts from 7:45am to 4:15pm. Training is provided; US citizenship is required for credentials; compensation starts at $18.36 per hour with eligibility for health benefits and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US Citizenship is required.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Stand upright for scheduled shift duration.
• Hold and grasp applicants' hands to obtain fingerprints.
• Work in a high-paced environment with the public.
• Type and use basic computer skills.
• Complete biometrics training and become certified within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking lawful immigration.
• Ensure entrants are approved applicants and manage crowd flow while enforcing ASC rules.
• Provide front-line customer service representing Amentum and the U.S. Government.
• Perform biometrics processing (fingerprints, photos, signatures) within processing times.
• Screen applicants for valid appointment notices and IDs before entry.
• Use crowd control barriers to maintain safe facility entry.
• Inspect applicants and belongings, handling health screening questions as needed.
• Report facility concerns during checks to the Site Supervisor.
• Assist Site Supervisor or Immigration Service Officer in emergencies.
• Maintain administrative paperwork and visitor logs as needed.
