Job summary

Biltmore is seeking a Server to coordinate table service and communicate with front and back of house to deliver a world-class dining experience. The role runs roughly from 6am to 1pm with weekend and holiday availability required, and requires at least six months of fine dining experience and a dedication to gracious hospitality.

The successful candidate will deliver courteous, prompt service, anticipate guest needs, and maintain Biltmore service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum six months of serving experience in a fine dining/upscale setting.
• Commitment to world-class guest service and exceeding guest expectations.
• Excellent guest relations and communication skills; warm, sincere hospitality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple guest service situations.
• Detail-oriented, professional in appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Take guests' food and beverage orders using suggestive selling techniques.
• Input orders and verify transmission with kitchen.
• Retrieve and serve alcoholic beverages and open wine bottles.
• Serve courses, ensure proper silverware and glassware for each course.
• Clear tables, transport soiled wares, present checks, and process payments.
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations.
• Adhere to cash, guest check handling, and tip reporting procedures.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in menu and wine tastings.
