Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Business Development professional focused on Accounting & Finance Client Solutions in Houston. You will build relationships with senior finance leaders, drive new business, and promote strategic solutions across audit, FP&A, M&A, and tax services.

You will partner with an experienced recruiting team, benefit from an uncapped commission structure, and operate within a recognized, growth-oriented brand. Remote work options are limited; travel may be local.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; CPA/CFA/MBA preferred.
• 3+ years accounting, financial consulting, and/or audit experience.
• Public accounting and/or Big Four experience preferred.
• Consultative, relationship-driven approach with senior financial leaders.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow relationships with CFOs, VPs, and senior accounting/finance leaders.
• Generate new business via prospecting, networking, referrals, and events.
• Promote solutions for audit, FP&A, M&A, tax, software implementations, and related areas.
• Identify client needs, recommend solutions, and manage opportunities from intake to fulfillment.
• Partner with recruiting to present the right professionals and resources at the right time.
• Develop a focused target-account strategy and a consistent sales pipeline.
• Monitor local market trends, expansions, relocations, and new businesses entering the market.
• Provide high-level oversight of engagements and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage daily and weekly activities in alignment with productivity, revenue, and growth goals.
