Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Director of Business Development (Finance and Accounting Direct Hire) in Orange County to build and grow a regional client base. You will open doors with CFOs and senior decision-makers, prospect new business, and sell staffing and consulting solutions while partnering with recruiters to fulfill roles.

The role offers a true base salary with uncapped commission potential, an experienced recruiting team, and opportunities to cross-sell across national practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful finance and accounting staffing, consulting, or solutions-sales experience.
• Strong track record of developing new business and achieving sales or gross-margin goals.
• Established relationships within the local business community.
• Excellent prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships with financial leaders, including CFOs and other senior decision-makers.
• Generate new business through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, social media, market intelligence, and in-person meetings.
• Sell accounting and finance staffing, direct-hire, project, and consulting solutions within your local market.
• Identify client needs, secure new job orders, and manage opportunities from intake through successful fulfillment.
• Partner closely with experienced recruiters to deliver high-quality finance and accounting professionals.
• Develop and maintain a focused target-account strategy and consistent sales pipeline.
• Expand existing relationships by introducing additional Vaco and Highspring capabilities where appropriate.
• Collaborate across offices, practices, and markets to pursue opportunities and serve clients.
