Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Business Development professional in the San Francisco area who understands accounting and finance. You will cultivate relationships with senior leaders, drive strategic prospecting, and promote solutions across audit, FP&A, M&A, tax, and related areas.

You will join an entrepreneurial team with an established brand, a collaborative recruiting group, and ongoing mentorship, including CPA license support and paid seminars. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA, CFA, MBA or related designation highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, financial consulting, and/or audit experience.
• Public accounting and/or Big Four experience highly preferred.
• Consultative, relationship-driven approach with senior financial leaders.
• Strong business development, networking, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow trusted relationships with CFOs, VPs, and senior accounting/finance leaders.
• Generate new business through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, events, and meetings.
• Promote accounting/finance solutions for audit, FP&A, M&A, tax, software implementations, etc.
• Identify client needs, recommend solutions, and manage opportunities from intake to fulfillment.
• Partner with recruiting team to present the right professionals and resources.
• Develop a focused target-account strategy and maintain a steady sales pipeline.
• Monitor local market trends, expansions, relocations, and new businesses entering market.
• Provide high-level oversight of active engagements and maintain client relationships.
• Manage daily/weekly activities aligned with productivity, revenue, and growth.
