Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Orlando seeks a Business Development professional focused on accounting and finance client solutions. You will build senior-level relationships, promote strategic finance projects, and partner with a recruiting team to deliver financial talent and consulting resources.

You will identify client needs, secure opportunities, and help lead engagements with a consultative, entrepreneurial mindset in a fast-growing environment with generous incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA, CFA, MBA, or a related designation is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, financial consulting, and/or audit experience.
• Public accounting and/or Big Four experience is highly preferred.
• Consultative, relationship-driven approach and the ability to communicate credibly with senior financial leaders.
• Strong business development, networking, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, personal accountability, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow trusted relationships with CFOs, VPs, and other senior accounting and finance leaders.
• Generate new business through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, market intelligence, events, and meetings.
• Promote accounting and finance solutions for strategic projects and interim needs (audit, FP&A, M&A, tax, software implementations).
• Identify client needs, recommend solutions, secure opportunities, and manage them end-to-end.
• Partner with recruiting team to present right professionals and consulting resources.
• Develop and maintain a focused target-account strategy and consistent sales pipeline.
• Monitor local market and hiring trends, including expansions, M&A, relocations, new businesses.
• Provide high-level oversight of active engagements and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage daily and weekly activities in alignment with productivity, revenue, and growth goals.
