Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker Inc. in Miami, FL, is seeking a Trades Specialist to join the field-based Commercial Construction sales team in the Miami territory. You will drive end-user relationships, manage contracts, and collaborate with marketing to execute initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years in construction sales, a Bachelor’s degree or higher, and the ability to travel up to 50%. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant construction field experience could substitute for higher education.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record delivering results and experience selling to high-level executives.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
• Valid Driver's License and travel up to 50% within territory.

Responsibilities

• Achieve top-line sales targets through selling DEWALT, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customer base.
• Establish and maintain key relationships with end-user partners and manage CORE and other user contracts.
• Coach local market team on End User development and purchasing processes.
• Partner with Channel Marketing to implement marketing initiatives.
• Maintain and use Salesforce.com as a CRM and planning tool.
