ViaPath is seeking a Telecommunication Technician 3 (Site Admin Technician 3) to join the Field Services team. The role is based at client sites with travel to other sites as needed, handling remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability tasks.

The technician will replace telephony and network hardware, pull cables, administer kiosk services, and perform basic troubleshooting. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office, and other software programs that may be required.
• Proficient with telephony and networking, including copper, CAT5/6, and fiber optic wiring.
• Knowledge of wiring color code and data cabling fabrication.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to various customer sites daily, with potential overnight trips.
• Work environment may include access to government facilities with strict security guidelines.
• Willingness to work scheduled and/or unscheduled overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a positive ambassador for ViaPath during customer visits.
• Provide service of ViaPath products at assigned sites and assist customers as needed.
• Prioritize and plan service calls; communicate updates.
• Escalate problems when appropriate.
• Act as a point of contact for facility staff regarding customer accounts.
• Replace telephony hardware and networking components; perform basic maintenance.
• Pull cable and install telephony hardware; manage kiosk service and collections.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting to define problems and gather data; support Technical Support teams.
• Troubleshoot wiring issues including 66-Blocks or Cutoff Switches.
• Handle special projects and overtime/callouts as required.
• Foster an effective team environment and coordinate with Field Service Manager.
• Troubleshoot video visitation and tablet/Wi‑Fi issues as directed.
