Job summary

ViaPath Technologies is seeking a Telecommunication Technician 3 (Site Admin Technician 3) to join the Field Services team. You will perform remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability tasks at customer sites across an assigned territory.

Under supervision, you will install telephony hardware, pull cables, manage kiosk service, and troubleshoot network and tablet issues. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office, and other software programs as required.
• Proficient with Telephony and Networking, including copper, CAT5/6, and fiber optic wiring.
• Knowledge of wiring color code and data cabling fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive ambassador for ViaPath when meeting customers and clients.
• Responsible for overall service at assigned customer sites and assist the customer as needed.
• Prioritize and plan assigned service calls; communicate updates.
• Escalate problems when appropriate and interact professionally with customers.
• Serve as point of contact for facility staff regarding customer accounts.
• Replace telephony hardware and network components; conduct basic maintenance.
• Pulling cable, mounting network devices, installing telephony hardware.
• Administer kiosk service and collections; deposit monies as needed at financial institutions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, assist Technical Support with corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot wiring—trace/repair/replace damaged wiring on 66-blocks or cutoff switches.
• Handle special projects as assigned; expect overtime and callouts.
• Foster an effective team environment and assist with video visitation troubleshooting when applicable.
• Troubleshoot tablet functionality and Wi-Fi connectivity as applicable.
