Job summary

ViaPath Technologies in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Telecommunication Technician 3 (Site Admin Technician 3) to join the Field Services team. The role focuses on remedial repair, preventive maintenance, and system reliability at client sites, with travel across an assigned territory.

The position reports to the Field Service Manager and requires working largely independently. Responsibilities include servicing ViaPath products, wiring, and kiosk service, with potential for overtime and early/late

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a positive Ambassador for ViaPath when meeting with customers.
• Responsible for overall service of ViaPath products at assigned sites.
• Prioritizing and planning of assigned service calls.
• Communicating updates for assigned service calls.
• Escalating problems when appropriate; interact professionally with customers.
• Replace telephony hardware and network components; basic maintenance.
• Pulling cable, mounting network devices, installing telephony hardware.
• Administer kiosk service and collections; deposits at financial institutions.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software; assist Technical Support with corrective actions.
• Wiring troubleshooting and repairs on 66-Blocks or Cutoff Switches.
• Handle special projects as assigned by Field Service Manager.
• Overtime and callouts may be required.
• Foster an effective team environment.
