Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a skilled Field Operations Technician to build and service telecom networks across North America. You will perform installation, repair, and testing of MACD on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena gear, and support optical, electrical, voice and data services while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Travel with a company vehicle is expected; you will diagnose problems, run new cable, replace hardware, and ensure high-quality, on-site

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• A positive, can-do attitude and customer focused approach for challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client.
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective de-escalation techniques.
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times.
