Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services in Reno, NV seeks a Field Operations Technician to perform MACD installations, restorations, and preventive maintenance on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment. You will test circuits and support both copper and fiber services on site.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in telecom, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, with travel in a company vehicle and physical requirements to handle various environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling
• Positive, customer-focused attitude and ability to handle challenging situations with integrity
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using de-escalation techniques
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
