Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a North America–wide provider of electrical testing and engineering services, offering safety-first substation testing, commissioning, and maintenance. The Field Technician II performs testing, inspection, and service with growing independence while prioritizing safety and quality.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, equipment testing, and collaboration with engineers and senior technicians across utility, data center, and industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or Military experience preferred.
• 2–4 years relevant industry experience.
• NETA II Certification.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE in substation environments.
• Participate in safety training, meetings and job briefings; identify hazards and mitigate.
• Perform testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect, test, and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using schematics and manuals; escalate as needed.
• Document testing, maintenance, and repair work accurately.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools and work areas to standards.
