Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increasing independence. You will collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to ensure safety and reliability during testing of high, medium, and low voltage systems.

Responsibilities include documenting work, troubleshooting from schematics, and supporting commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check required.
• Willing to work overtime and travel out of town.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE usage in substation environments.
• Perform testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect, test, and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals; escalate as needed.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance, including repairs and adjustments of electrical components.
• Execute functional checks and assist with commissioning activities to verify readiness for service.
• Accurately document testing, maintenance, and repair work per requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure readiness and standards compliance.
