Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a NETA-accredited independent electrical testing and engineering organization providing acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance for clients across Data Centers, Utility, Generation, Renewables, Transit, Industrial and Commercial facilities throughout North America.

The Field Technician II performs testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increased independence, working with minimal supervision while prioritizing

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or military experience preferred.
• 2–4 years of relevant industry experience.
• NETA II Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE usage in substation environments.
• Perform testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect and test circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics and diagrams; escalate complex issues.
• Document testing, maintenance, and repair per requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
