Electric Power Systems (EPS) is a NETA-accredited independent electrical testing and engineering organization providing acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance for clients across North America. The Field Technician II role involves testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation equipment with increasing independence, while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to overtime and travel for periods of time.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or military experience preferred.
• NETA II certification is preferred or required where applicable.

Responsabilités

• Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with minimal supervision.
• Inspect and test circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals; escalate complex issues.
• Document testing, maintenance, and repair work per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to standards.
