Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increasing independence. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and hands-on troubleshooting while reducing supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a related degree or military background, be willing to travel, and pass required screenings. EPS offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing technical development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or military experience preferred.
• NETA II certification is listed as a qualification in the ad, if applicable.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willingness to travel out of town for periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and use PPE in substation environments.
• Test, inspect, and maintain high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot from schematics and manuals; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Document testing and maintenance per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
