Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with growing independence. You will troubleshoot issues, support commissioning activities, and prioritize safety and quality on every assignment.

Responsibilities include performing tests on high/medium/low voltage gear, documenting results, and collaborating with engineers and senior technicians to complete field tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Background check is required.
• Overtime work and travel may be required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE usage in substation environments.
• Participate in safety training and hazard identification.
• Support safety culture through hazard reporting and lessons learned.
• Test high, medium, and low voltage equipment with limited supervision.
• Inspect, test, and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, batteries, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot equipment using schematics and manuals; escalate as needed.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance and adjustments.
• Assist with commissioning activities to verify readiness for service.
• Document testing and maintenance per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to execute field activities safely.
• Maintain tools and work areas to standards.
