Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increasing independence. The role emphasizes safety, problem-solving, and quality in field activities across North America.

Responsibilities include testing high/medium/low volts, fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and assisting commissioning. Strong safety culture and documentation are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Criminal background check required.
• Ability to work overtime and travel out of town for periods.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE requirements in substation environments.
• Perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Inspect circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot from schematics and manuals, escalate complex issues.
• Document test results and work in project systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities.
