Job summary

Lumen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician II to maintain and restore network services across assigned territories.

You’ll start from a home base using a company vehicle and travel to multiple sites, building technical expertise and future growth opportunities in a field-driven role. Responsibilities include responding to outages, troubleshooting and repairing telecom equipment, and performing OTDR testing while documenting activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of telecommunications or field tech experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing network equipment.
• Knowledge of fiber optic networks.
• Experience performing OTDR testing.
• Ability to travel across assigned territories and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to outages and restore service to maintain availability.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecom and network infrastructure.
• Perform OTDR testing to identify and resolve issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on network facilities and infrastructure.
• Provide smart hands support at remote network sites.
• Document work activities and communicate using Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
