bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer (FSE) to service customers across a broad territory, including national assignments. The role requires installing, servicing, and repairing analytical instruments while traveling with minimal supervision.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of relevant electro-mechanical experience, and hold a valid driver’s license. Expect extensive travel, on-call rotations, and participation in product trainings in Durham or St. Louis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; 2+ years in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical/electronic systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair instruments to spec.
• Build relationships with customers and promote service agreements.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product trainings at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO.
• Travel for customer visits, including overnight stays as needed.
• Complete work orders, QA checklists, and training requirements accurately.
• Manage travel schedules and submit travel expenses on time.
• Maintain fleet, inventory, and equipment per policy.
