Job summary

bioMérieux seeks a Field Systems Engineer to service instruments across a broad territory, including national support. The role requires strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting, installations, and ongoing customer engagement with regular travel and on-call duties.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (or 6+ years equivalent experience) and a valid driver’s license, with a track record in field service and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training at designated offices within the first year.
• Travel for customer visits, including overnight stays as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and remote support when required.
