Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the territory and nationally, delivering best-in-class support. You will install, maintain, upgrade, and repair instruments to specification, while building strong customer relationships and promoting service agreements.

The role requires extensive travel, on-call support, and collaboration with sales and applications teams, with initial training in Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Foster teamwork across service and support teams while driving field service revenue.
• Attend product training and travel as needed, including overnight stays.
• Travel for customer visits, with on-call rotation and potential national travel.
• Complete work orders, QA checklists, and training requirements accurately.
• Maintain calendar, submit travel expense reports, and manage fleet and inventory.
