Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the United States, with national travel as needed. The role is remote-friendly and requires a self-starter attitude and overnight travel on short notice. You will install, maintain, upgrade and repair instruments, build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and drive field service revenue through billable offerings.

Training occurs in Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO during year one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field or 6+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electro-mechanical/electronic systems.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade and repair instruments to meet specifications.
• Build trust with customers and promote service agreements.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO in year one.
• Travel for customer visits; on-call weekends/holidays on a rotating basis.
• Document service work orders, QA checklists and training compliance.
• Maintain fleet, inventory and equipment in good condition.
