Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service instruments across the U.S. region, with national travel as needed. The role requires independent work, overnight travel on short notice, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities include installations, maintenance, and repairs while promoting service agreements and identifying cross-functional sales opportunities. Training is provided, and a company vehicle and equipment are supplied.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 2+ years of professional related experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or military setting required.
• Education Substitution: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of relevant experience, defined above, is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Promote service agreements and identify sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings like preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training within the first year; ongoing trainings as needed.
• Travel includes national and overnight stays; participate in on-call rotation.
• Maintain accurate work orders, QA checklists, and training requirements.
• Manage travel calendar and submit expense reports to avoid penalties.
• Maintain fleet vehicle and inventory per policy.
• Collaborate with sales and applications teams to enhance customer experience.
