Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the assigned territory and nationally. The role requires remote work with overnight travel on short notice, and a focus on delivering best-in-class customer experiences.

You will handle installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs, build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and drive field service revenue through billable offerings. Training and on-call duties are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, or electrical systems.
• Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Promote service agreements and identify sales opportunities for cross-functional teams.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings and equipment moves.
• Attend product training within the first year at designated offices; ongoing trainings as needed.
• Travel for customer visits, including overnight or national travel when required.
• Maintain accurate service work orders, QA checklists, and training records.
• Manage travel scheduling and submit expense reports to avoid penalties.
• Follow company policies regarding fleet, asset, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with sales and applications teams to enhance customer experience.
• Represent bioMerieux professionally and support trade shows as needed.
