bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customer instruments across a large territory with remote work and overnight travel as needed. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and strong customer interactions.

The candidate should have a engineering-related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in electro-mechanical repair and a valid driver’s license. Domestic travel will be frequent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronic Tech, CS, Biomedical, or related field.
• 2+ years troubleshooting/repair of electro-mechanical/electronic/electrical systems.
• Education Substitution: 6+ years relevant experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair instruments to meet specs.
• Build trust with customers and promote service agreements.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and moves.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training in US offices.
• Travel for customer visits with overnight stays as needed.
• Complete service work orders and QA checklists accurately.
• Maintain fleet, inventory, and documentation per policy.
• Represent bioMerieux professionally and support trade shows.
