Job summary

bioMérieux Field Systems Engineer is responsible for servicing customers within a geographic territory and nationally as needed, delivering best-in-class customer experience while working remotely and traveling overnight when required.

The role focuses on installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs; promoting service agreements; cross-functional collaboration; and timely documentation in accordance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems in commercial, industrial, or military setting required.
• Education substitution: In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of relevant experience, defined above, is required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, and repairs using electronic and computer skills to ensure instruments meet specifications.
• Promote service agreements and identify sales opportunities for cross-functional teams.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training and maintain compliance with quality procedures.
• Travel for on-site visits, including overnight travel as needed to cover territory.
