Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Field Support Technician to provide remote and on‑site IT support for ANG modernization across CONUS. The role entails hands‑on installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems, with significant travel and DoD/compliance requirements.

Qualifications include DoD 8140 Level II certs, network knowledge, strong troubleshooting and customer service skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• DoD 8140 Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND).
• Working knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms and networking tech.
• Ability to interpret engineering docs, drawings and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service for technical and non‑technical users.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical installation work.
• Ability to travel more than 50% for nationwide deployments.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment at sites.
• Analyzes performance and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Performs system programming and optimization during installation.
• Provides on‑site end‑user training and travels to customer sites.
• Tests, trains and supports customers on designated systems.
• Collaborates with developers/engineers to reduce incidents.
• Reviews system configurations for production deployments.
