Thomson Power Systems, a Regal Rexnord company, is seeking a Field Service Technician in Wisconsin. This hands-on, field-based role will start up, test, and commission low- and medium-voltage switchgear and ATS, diagnose issues, and ensure systems are fully operational prior to handoff to customers.

You’ll work with TPS HQ in Langley, BC for alignment and support, and may travel up to 50%. Responsibilities include maintenance, startup, testing, commissioning, and advanced troubleshooting across

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance on power distribution & control equipment.
• Experience installing, testing, repairing circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear.
• Strong knowledge of CSA, NFPA, UL codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
• Customer‑facing with professional field service demeanor.

Responsabilités

• Lead startup, testing, and commissioning of switchgear and ATS.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for installed bases.
• Perform field service tasks including site assessments, installation, startup, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair paralleling switchgear, ATS, control systems, and related mechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Ensure safety, quality, and performance meet standards before handoff to customers.
• Collaborate with Field Service team and TPS HQ to align on procedures and outcomes.
• Document field service reports and expenses accurately and timely.
• Support Technical Call Desk with diagnostics and guidance.
• Provide training support for customers and partners on product lines.
